Goodbye Stranger by Rebecca Stead (2015) – This young adult novel follows Bridge, Emily, and Tabitha, three friends who are learning to deal with 7th grade, identity crises, and boys. It also follows an unknown girl on a terrible day as she deals with her childhood friend turning on her. It’s a really cool book with an unorthodox structure that works very well. I absolutely loved it and plan on reading more of Rebecca Stead’s work.
Hana-Kimi (For You in Full Bloom) by Hisaya Nakajo (1996 – 2004) ch. 139 – More about Mizuki worrying about getting caught and her and Sano’s painfully slow relationship. I’m actually going to be very glad when the series ends. It’s gotten pretty dull.
And that’s it for this week! I didn’t read that much because I’ve been struggling to finish a very good but very difficult book. It’s helpful but somewhat terrifying, so I’m not reading it as fast as I normally would. However, I should have more books read this week as I recover from the self-induced trauma with loads of silly books.
