Adventures in Links — July 17, 2015

A few fun links to start your weekend off right. 🙂

Do you have a dream that you want to pursue? Do you worry about how to motivate yourself into making that dream a reality? Well, Shia LaBeouf has some words for you.

Are you perhaps scared of Shia LaBeouf? Do you worry that he’s secretly a murderous psychopath roaming the woods? Well, you should.

Do you ever get into an argument with someone (perhaps over the Internet) and they make a poor argument and you want to call them out on it but don’t quite know how? Well, try these official cards on for size and whip them at your opponent the next time they use an illogical argument.

Have you ever wondered what the Disney princesses would look like as Jedis? Well, wonder no more (Also in that link is a few of the princesses as Sith lords, but those aren’t are successful.).

One of my favorite past times is cross-stitching. It’s soothing and mindless and you can do it for hours at a time while watching a movie and not have to worry about over-snacking or feeling lazy. Plus, at the end of it you have a really cool wall hanging, bookmark, or gift. Check out these cool Doctor Who examples.

On a more serious note, female bodybuilder Samantha Wright recently posted a link to this ad about a transgender man (Jacob), his journey through transitioning, and the gym that supports him and other transgender people. The ad was also recently spotlighted by Google, and it is incredible. It’s the first ad I’ve seen supporting any transgender person, and it’s very honest and encouraging.

Finally, Caitlyn Jenner received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award this week for “possessing strength in the face of adversity, courage in the face of peril, and the willingness to stand up for [her] beliefs no matter the cost.” If you click here, you can watch her amazing speech. It’s a bit long (11 minutes), but it is absolutely worth the watch.
