While I had envisioned this section as just a throw away post meant to share some of the fun sites I visit, the shooting of nine women and men at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina necessitates that I share some links on the subject. For those of you that don’t yet know, on Wednesday, June 17 at approximately 9:00pm, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, a white man, entered the Emanuel AME Church, at least partially attended an all-black Bible study session, and then opened fire, wounding and killing nine. The names of his victims are Clementa Pinckney, Tywanza Sanders, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, Cynthia Hurd, DePayne Middleton-Doctor, Reverend Dr. Daniel L. Simmons Sr., Ethel Lance, Myra Thompson, and Susie Jackson.
